Meet Isengrin! A big striped tabby cat with enormous heart-shaped paws and a personality that filled every room he walked into.
He was my cat and I loved him so much. I named him after Ysengrin the Wolf from the medieval French tale Le Roman de Renart because he had that slightly wolfish look, but honestly he was the opposite of fierce. Just a big sweet oaf who was very opinionated and SO stubborn with everyone except me. With me he was the most loving cat in the world!
This painting captures everything I loved about him, his big paws, his beautiful tabby markings, and the personality that made him so special!
