We were sitting on our hotel balcony in Washington, DC when we heard a crow cawing his lungs out on the next balcony over. We called him over, and he actually came and hung out with us for almost an hour!

I couldn't stop thinking about him, so I painted him. Now he lives on as Crownelius Crowmwell, a moody little portrait of one very opinionated city crow.
