Markham Goose Postcard

We met this Canada goose (or "Canadian goose" if you're from the US!) in a hospital parking lot in Markham, Ontario. I ended up spending half an afternoon camped out by the car with him while he did his thing in the grass, not bothered one bit by the people and cars going by. As far as he was concerned, the whole lot was his personal lawn.

Canada geese have a reputation for being a little aggressive, but this one was all lounging and zero hissing. All those layers of leaves and grass around him nearly broke me, but I painted him live on our weekly Thursday stream and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out!

Send him to a fellow Canadian (or a friend who keeps calling them Canadian geese), mail him to a stranger across the world through Postcrossing (a site that matches postcard pen pals!), or prop him up on your desk where he can sit like he owns the place.
