My Most Popular Prints This Year (So Far)

Every couple of months I brew a strong coffee, sit down with my trusty spreadsheet, and see which prints are winning your hearts (and your wall space). Below is the current leaderboard based on real sales this year!

🐇 The Hare

This one leads the pack every month! By far The Hare has been our top seller since opening the store.

🐩⬛ Crownelius Crowmwell

Inspired by a very vocal crow I met on a Washington, DC balcony—one balcony over, cawing his heart out until we coaxed him to join us. He strutted around for an hour like he owned the place, and I knew he had to become a painting.

🐕 Cane di Milano

Picture it: Milan, 2022. My dinner plans collapsed and I was wandering the streets when I spotted the most charming dog inside a little trattoria—Tram Tram Milano. One soulful stare later and pasta was the last thing on my mind; back in the studio, that memory became the painting you see here.

đŸżïž Titi the Squirrel

My sister in Nova Scotia, @bleumariepottery, has a red squirrel—well, possibly a rotating cast of look-alikes—who drops by her balcony for daily visits. We call him Titi. His bold little stares and balcony hang-outs were too charming to ignore, so he scampered straight into this painting.

🩊 Woodland Fox

I painted this fox as a deliberate companion piece for The Hare: same classic pose, same deep greens, but this time the gaze is all fox—curious, calm, and just a touch cunning.

🩊 The Fox

He’s the Woodland Fox’s scruffy cousin. Think windswept fur and that slightly suspicious look you get after a long trudge through the woods. He’s gaining ground fast—might overtake his sleeker cousin soon.

đŸ± BrĂŒnnhilde

Based on a 1936 photo of a cat in full Valkyrie gear, this colour remake is climbing the charts fast. Bronze helm, red plume, fierce stare—no wonder she’s gaining fans every week.

Tag me @theuglycatstudio if one of these creatures is already brightening your walls—snap a pic, share a story, and I might feature it in a future post! And if your personal favourite isn’t here yet, there’s no time like the present to change that 😛
