We saw this charming orange tabby cat at Ainoshima Island in Japan, not far from Fukuoka. It's a bit of a slog to get there but it was worth it! Hundreds or thousands of cats everywhere, roaming free!

If you're a cat lover I highly suggest it!

This little guy was hanging out alone in front of a concrete wall, and I was inspired to draw him.

Jarousse was one of those cats that enjoyed being petted, until she didn't. She was super sweet and demanding of attention, but also had no compunction (lightly!) biting if changed her mind. Which she did often.

Sadly Jarousse ran off and went missing in the forests of Nova Scotia. 😿

We miss you and we hope to see you again Jarousse! 💔
